Session Times: Wednesday and Thursday at 8:30-9:20

Offically, "Web 2.0 is a term often applied to a perceived ongoing transition of the World Wide Web from a collection of websites to a full-fledged computing platform serving web applications to end users. Ultimately Web 2.0 services are expected to replace desktop computing applications for many purposes. "

So much for formal definitions. What does it mean for this workshop? We will be taking a look at some of the web-based applications that traditionally have been housed on YOUR computer. This shift to the web for applications means we can share, collaborate and communicate with family, friends, colleagues and even strangers across small and great distances and from any internet connected computer. It is FUN and most of the applications are FREE! This is where many of our students are or will be spending their time outside of school.
