The quotes below are the responses we got on the evaluation form to the question: What I think could be changed to make the conference better.
- Presenters not assume we all understand the terms/languages and slow down on the steps as you guide us through the procedures.
- Some sessions could be longer to allow more instruction
- Loved it!
- I would have liked a description of what would be covered in each session or information as to what grade levels it would be most appropriate for.
- DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING! It's great as is.
- I think 90 minutes would give instructors/students more time to adequately cover subject.
- FOOD/DRINKS/COFFEE
- Turn down the air, or incorporate a Christmas theme next year.
- Descriptions of classes on the initial website to plan better.
- Maybe have earlier in year so we could request some of the materials that were presented.
- Refreshments for break times.
- More days so I could go to more sessions.
- A lab in between each session in case you wanted to keep working (for no credit of course).
- Rate the sessions as to complexity.
- Snacks
- Refreshments?
- Have workshops that don't involve personal opinions and more information.
- Have pre-registration for the sessions.
- Offer less sessions in a day and go into more depth for each OR do it like this and offer more in-depth training sessions during the school year.
- Maybe to follow up in the fall with "in-depth" information on the different sessions.
- Put a small description about each session so we'll know what we'll be learning.
- Refreshments and the room was cold!
- Nothing / Just keep up the great work and have another one soon!
- Grade leveled activities
- Handouts to refer to later in case you forget.
- Some sessions probably need more than 50 minutes, so that we can actually do what is being presented.
- Have some food available.
- I really liked the variety but the time constraints were a little bit of a problem.
- Notification of the workshops and their content a little earlier in May.
- Longer Web 2.0 session
- Very good
- Maybe offer extended training.
- My school needs a very, very basic conference. I realized that our teachers don't know enough to learn from these conferences - that is probably why they didn't come. We need a slower process/pace.
- A glossary of frequently used terms for us somewhat technology illiterate people!
- Levels - e.g. Intro, Advanced
- Offer during the school year as well.
- No changes needed - great!!!
- It would be nice to have time to be able to create some of the things we found - games and such as well as have time to look at UnitedStreaming videos.
- More interactive for students taking class
- Some more variety from the previous year
- Have levels of difficulty
- Some more difficult courses
- Some food or drink.
- Follow up workshops to help teachers with more details on the short sessions.
- Longer! More days. Maybe after the last week of school.
- Nothing - absolutely wonderful!!
- Refreshments would be nice.
- 3 days and need how-to handouts
